Who is Property Fortune?
Property Fortune is an internet based property portal. Our website includes properties listed by agents and developers and also a tradesmen and service provider directory, for you to search in one location.

Is Property Fortune an Agent?
We do not sell or let any properties directly. Our member agents and developers have access to advertise properties listed with them on our site.

Can Property Fortune sell my property?
We only advertise properties that are listed with our member agents and developers.

Can Property Fortune value my property?
We do not offer any valuations on property, as we only advertise properties on behalf of our member agents and developers. Please visit our Property Directory section, where you can Search For An Agent in your area that can assist you with valuations by selecting Agents.

Is Property Fortune an online directory?
We provide a one stop shop for all things property. We are the only property portal that have an extensive tradesmen and service providers directory with in depth and up to date profiles with agents and developers advertising their properties also.

Can Property Fortune offer me any legal or financial advice?
Property Fortune has an extensive list of Tradesmen and Service Providers, which you can use to find any service you require. Please visit our Tradesmen Section and select Search for a Tradesman or search our A to Z list.

 

ADVERTISING

I would like to advertise on Property Fortune. How do I become a member?
If you are an Agent or a Developer:
Please contact us via our online form or contact 0207 856 0442 and we will be happy discuss how Property Fortune can bring benefits to your business. Alternatively you can use our Agent and Developers Registration form and register today.

If you are a Tradesmen or Service Provider:
Please contact us via our online form or contact 0207 856 0442 and we will be happy discuss how Property Fortune can bring benefits to your business. Alternatively you can use our Tradesmen Registration form and register today.

My property is not on Property Fortune even though I have advertised my property with an agent?
Firstly, please check that your agent is a member of Property Fortune. Secondly, please contact and check that the agent has uploaded your property details to the site.

If my house has been Sold/Let, why is it still advertised?
As our agents upload properties to our site, we also require them to remove the listings when they have been sold or let. Please contact your agent regarding this matter.

If my property details are incorrect on your site what do I do?
All property information that we receive is from uploaded via our agents. Please contact your agent so any errors can be rectified.

My property is not appearing in the correct location, what do I do?
Please contact your agent so any errors can be rectified.

My property has been Sold/Let but the agent I used has not removed the property listing. What do I do?
It is ultimately the agents’ responsibility to update and remove any listings so you will need to contact the agent regarding this matter. If this is unsuccessful please contact us and we will contact them on your behalf.

 

TRADESMEN/SERVICE PROVIDERS SEACH

Does Property Fortune Vet/Check all tradesmen/service providers?
We have an extensive directory of tradesmen/service providers and each have a profile to provide customers with as much or as little information as they chose to. It is ultimately up to you, as a customer, to check and vet who use may intend to use. All information in the profiles has been done so by the tradesmen/service provider.
I can’t find a tradesmen I want, what should I do?
If you have tried to search for a tradesmen/service provider and could not find what you were looking for, you can search our trades A - Z list. If you have searched our directory and still can not find a tradesmen or service provider of your choice, please let us know via our online contact

Why are some trades profiles contain more information than others?
We provide profiles for tradesmen and service providers where they can add as much or as little information. If you do require more information from a tradesmen, please contact them for what you require.

I am a Tradesmen/Service Provider and I am listed as a free entry and I would like to upgrade, how do I do this?
To upgrade your profile with us, please search for your free listing and then select “This is me, register now” and follow the registration process.

 

SEARCHING FOR PROPERTIES

The property search does not recognise my search location?
Please check to see that the location and post code has been inputted correctly. If you believe that a post code or location is missing from our search, please contact us via our online contact form with details of your search.

Why are properties still advertised if they have been sold or a let has been agreed.
Some properties may still remain on our website even though they have been sold or a let has been agreed. It is ultimately the agents responsibility to update and remove properties that have been sold or let. We do ensure our site stays as up to date as possible for our users searching for properties.

 

SIGN IN AND CREATING AN ACCOUNT

Why should I register for a “My Fortune” account?
Property Fortune is FREE and easy to use. By registering with us, you will have a “My Fortune” area when you log in. Here you can save properties and save tradesmen/service providers to a shortlist. Our website appeals to all areas of property.

How do I sign up?
Simply click the Register button at the top left of the screen.  You will need a valid email address to activate an account.

If I have forgotten my password, what do I do?
If you forget your password, please go to the top left of the screen, select Log In then select Forgotten Password. You can then enter your email to retrieve your password to log in.

I would like to unsubscribe to Property Fortune, how do I do this?
Please email us on unsubscribe@propertyfortune.co.uk with your details or if you have received an email from us, please click unsubscribe in the email.

Why do I have to provide my personal information?
To register with PropertyFortune, we require personal details and also to monitor activity on our site.

Is my personal information used for any other purposes?
We do not pass any personal data to any marketing companies, advertisers or any other third parties.

If I register will I receive Junk Mail?
You will only receive newsletters, keeping you up to date with Property Fortune.

 

PROPERTY INFORMATION

If I would like some more information about a property, what should I do?
The information we display in each property listing is provided and uploaded by the agent or the developer.We advise you to contact the agent or the developer that are advertising the property for more details.
You can contact the agent directly either using the number provided or the Contact Agent button, where you can fill out a form which is then emailed to the agent.

Why do some property listings have full details and photos and others don’t?
We provide agents and developers with the tools to upload images and property details and we encourage our agents and developers to provide as much information that is available to them to ensure you get the full details.
If you would like any more information that has not been made available by agents and developers, then please contact them directly.

 

CONTACTING AGENTS/DEVELOPERS AND TRADESMEN/SERVICE PROVIDERS

I wanted more details regarding a property but I have not heard from the agent/developer, what should I do?
Please email the agent/developer again for a response or contact them directly via the telephone contact details provided.

How much does it cost me to contact an agent/developer or a tradesmen/service provider
Network costs do vary from a landline and a mobile. For more information please contact your phone provider.

I would like some more information about a Tradesmen, what do I do?
You can contact an agent for more information by contacting them directly via telephone, by using direct email which is under the tab Contact on your selected tradesmen profile or by using the review wall which is also located on your selected tradesmen profile, where you can leave a message.
 
What should I do if I spot a rogue tradesmen or agent?
Please contact us via our contact form, giving a detailed explanation and providing as many details as you can so we can investigate.

 

MY FORTUNE

How do I access the My Fortune area?
To access the My Fortune area, please select Register on the top left of the screen. To register you must have a valid email address.

How do I save Tradesmen and Service Providers to the My Fortune area?
You must be a registered user to save Tradesmen and Service Providers to a My Fortune area. To save, please select Save Trade on the search results of your trade search or select the trade you wish to save, select View Details and select the button Save Trade.

How do I save Properties to the My Fortune area?
You must be a registered user to save properties to a My Fortune area. To save, please select Save Property on the property search results of your search or select the property you wish to save, select View Details and select the button Save Property.

How do I change my details?
If you would like to change any of your details, please log in to your My Fortune area and select Update My Details.

How do I unsubscribe to My Fortune?
Please email us on unsubscribe@propertyfortune.co.uk with your details.

What do I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, please go to the top left of the screen, select Log In then select Forgotten Password. You can then enter your email to retrieve your password to log in.

If I receive an error page what should I do?
If you receive an error page, please contact us via our online form and provide details of the error.

What browsers do you support?
The site is optimised for the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

 

REVIEWS

I have made a mistake on a review for an agent tradesman/service provider. Can it be changed?
Once reviews have been submitted, the review is uploaded straight away and can not be edited.

I have completed a job for a customer but they have not reviewed my work, what should I do?
Please contact the customer directly and ask them to leave you a review. The customer may have forgotten to give you a review or did not know there was an option available to do so.

I have received a negative review and I think it is unfair. What can I do?
You can reply to the negative review. It is between yourself and the customer to resolve any disputes. Property Fortune does monitor reviews and we do not accept any derogatory, obscene and offensive reviews.

How can I comment on a negative review from a customer?
You can reply to a negative review by accessing your wall when you have logged into your Property Fortune Account.

What should I do if I discover offensive content on the the review wall?
If you find any content that is in appropriate, please contact us via our online contact form using ‘Report Content’ with details of where the content is.
